A new roof.
The same sun.
One contract.
Your roof and your solar belong on one plan. We take the panels off, replace the roof, and put the array back with new flashing at every penetration, then check it's producing before we leave.

Two trades, one roof, nobody wants it.
Most roofers won't touch the panels, and most solar companies don't do roofs. Homeowners end up coordinating two contractors, two schedules and two warranties, with each one pointing at the other when a penetration leaks.
We do both under one contract. The same project manager is on site from the moment the first panel comes off until the system is back online.

Off, roof, back on, producing.
- 01
Inspection & baseline
We inspect the roof and record what your array is producing, so there's a number to compare against afterwards.
- 02
Detach & rack
Panels come off and are racked and padded on site, never stacked on the driveway for a week.
- 03
New roof
Full replacement underneath, the same way we do every roof, with the mounts planned in.
- 04
Reinstall
The array goes back to spec with new flashing at every penetration, then it's reconnected.
- 05
Production check
We compare your monitoring before and after, so you know the system came back at full output.

"The guys were terrific and left the place spotless. Our solar is reconnected and collecting again; John also corrected the grounding of the panels, which had not been done properly by the original installers."

Solar R&R questions
Can you replace a roof that already has solar panels on it?+
Yes. We detach the array, rack and pad it on site, replace the roof, then reinstall with new flashing at every penetration and confirm the system is back at full production before we close the job out.
How much longer does it take than a normal roof?+
Add about a day on each side: one to take the array down, one to put it back up and reconnect it. The roof itself is usually torn off and dried in the same day.
What if a panel is damaged?+
Panel damage in handling is covered in writing on every R&R. Panels are racked and padded on site the whole time they're off the roof.
I lease my panels or have a PPA. Can you still do it?+
Usually, yes. Many agreements have rules about who can detach the system. Send us the paperwork with your inspection request and we'll check it, including agreements that require a certified detach, before we quote.
How do I know the system is working afterwards?+
We record your production before the job and compare it after the reinstall. You see both numbers before we leave.
Turned down because of the panels?
Free inspection anywhere in Connecticut. Tell us you have solar and we'll quote the roof and the R&R together.
